Dear You,
Well, here we are again another New Year, another calendar flipped, another set of resolutions you’re about to stress over. Don’t worry, I’m not here to judge. But can we have a quick cosmic heart-to-heart about how you’re setting your priorities?
You’ve been trained to think this is the time to hustle harder, to set "smart goals," to measure success in numbers, how much you make, how far you climb, how many likes you get. I get it. But what if I told you that the greatest riches you’ll ever find won’t fit in a bank account or a to-do list?
This year, let’s make it about discovery.
The best moments in life aren’t found in spreadsheets or schedules, they’re uncovered in the layers of existence you’ve barely scratched. The laughter you didn’t expect, the road you didn’t plan to take, the way the sunrise paints the sky when you’re awake enough to notice. Make time to look for these treasures. They’re already around you, waiting to be found.
Adventure doesn’t have to mean bungee jumping (though if you’re into that, I fully support it). It can be as simple as doing something you’ve never done, even if it terrifies you. Say yes more often. Take the scenic route. Ask the questions you’ve been afraid to ask. Life has a funny way of rewarding those who step out of their comfort zone. You might just stumble upon something extraordinary about the world, or about yourself.
Here’s a secret most people overlook: love and happiness aren’t prizes you win after achieving everything else. They’re what make the journey worthwhile. Invest in people who bring light to your life. Show kindness without expecting anything in return. Laugh loudly, cry deeply, and let yourself feel every bit of the human experience, after all thats why you are here. So this year, let's let love and joy lead the way, not have them follow you as an afterthought.
When you sit down this December and look back, I hope you’ll remember not how much you earned, but how much you lived. Discovery isn’t about checking boxes it’s about opening doors you didn’t even know existed. Trade your resolution list for a Discovery List. What do you want to explore? Who do you want to be? What would make this year unforgettable not in numbers, but in memories?
'The journey isn’t about finding the treasure; the journey is the treasure.'
Until next time,
Love it
